Megan Fox is Toy Chica in Five Nights at Freddy's 2! FNAF 2 Casting News! (2025)

Hold on to your hats, Five Nights at Freddy's fans! If you thought the first movie was terrifying, get ready for round two because the animatronic nightmare is far from over. But here's the kicker: Megan Fox, yes that Megan Fox, is lending her voice to the sinister Toy Chica in the upcoming sequel!

The first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, which you can read our review of HERE, became a massive hit for Blumhouse Productions. It smashed records, even surpassing the box office success of popular franchises like Split, The Invisible Man, The Black Phone, M3GAN, the recent Halloween trilogy, and the Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and The Purge series. It raked in a staggering $295 million! With numbers like that, a sequel was practically guaranteed. Mark your calendars for December 5, 2025, because that's when Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is scheduled to hit theaters, and as Variety reports, Megan Fox will be voicing the creepy animatronic, Toy Chica.

Let's rewind a bit. The first movie introduced us to a security guard haunted by his past who takes a job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He quickly discovers that surviving the night shift won't be a piece of cake. Now, get ready for the next chapter! It's been a year since the terrifying events at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The stories have morphed into a spooky local legend, inspiring the town's first-ever Fazfest. Remember Mike (Josh Hutcherson), the former security guard, and Officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail)? They've been trying to protect Mike's younger sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), from the truth about her animatronic "friends." And this is the part most people miss... the synopsis tells us that things are about to get MUCH more complicated. When Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, she unknowingly sets off a chain of events that will reveal dark secrets about Freddy's true origins and unleash a horror that's been hidden for decades. Get ready for a wild ride!

Good news for fans of the original cast! Josh Hutcherson (of The Hunger Games fame), Elizabeth Lail (from You), and Piper Rubio (seen in Holly & Ivy) are all returning for Five Nights at Freddy's 2. We'll also see Matthew Lillard (Scream) and Theodus Crane (Underground) reprising their roles. But that's not all! We have some fresh faces joining the cast, including Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (from the Ghostbusters franchise), Teo Briones (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and, surprisingly, Skeet Ulrich, who co-starred with Lillard in Scream. Adding to the voice acting talent, besides Megan Fox as Toy Chica, we have MatPat (FNAF the Musical) voicing Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff (Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic) providing the voice of Toy Freddy.

Here's a little behind-the-scenes tidbit: the first movie was initially in development at Warner Bros., with Gil Kenan (Monster House) set to direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Tyler Burton Smith (who worked on the Child's Play remake). Eventually, the project landed at Blumhouse, where Chris Columbus (Home Alone) was attached to direct for several years. Finally, Emma Tammi – known for her work on The Wind, Into the Dark: Delivered, and Into the Dark: Blood Moon – took the director's chair, working from a screenplay she co-wrote with Seth Cuddeback (Mateo) and the video game's creator, Scott Cawthon. Tyler MacIntyre and Chris Lee Hill, the writers behind Tragedy Girls, share story credit with Cawthon. Tammi is directing the sequel from a script by Cawthon.

Jason Blum, the founder and CEO of Blumhouse, and Scott Cawthon are producing Five Nights at Freddy's 2, just as they did with the first movie. Emma Tammi (the director), Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman are serving as executive producers. And to bring those terrifying animatronics to life, Jim Henson's Creature Shop is handling the special effects. They are the masters of making puppets scary!

So, are you planning to see Five Nights at Freddy's 2 on the big screen this December? What are your thoughts on Megan Fox voicing Toy Chica? Do you think it's a perfect casting choice, or would you have preferred someone else? But here's where it gets controversial... some fans believe that Toy Chica's voice should be more childlike and innocent, to create a disturbing contrast with her deadly nature. Do you agree? Let us know what you think in the comments below! We want to hear all your theories and opinions.
