Tired of the same old morning radio routine? Get ready for a shake-up! WGHL, the Alternative station at 105.1, is injecting a fresh dose of music into your mornings with Kenzie at the helm. This change marks a significant shift, so let's dive in.
WGHL, which launched in 2018, has been experimenting with syndicated morning shows. But now, they're going for a music-focused approach.
Kenzie, who currently hosts the midday show, will be taking over the morning slot starting Monday, October 20th. She's replacing Premiere Networks' "The Woody Show." This is a big move, especially considering the station's history. Before "The Woody Show," WGHL featured Dave & Mahoney, which, in turn, replaced Brooke & Jeffrey back in 2020.
But here's where it gets interesting: Kenzie is a multi-talented radio personality. Besides her new morning gig at WGHL, she also hosts middays at "106.3 The Core" in Saginaw, Michigan, afternoons at "101.5 The Fridge" in Dayton, Ohio, and even does weekend shows on "Live 95.5" in Portland. Talk about a busy schedule!
Kenzie's radio journey began in her home state of Michigan at Cumulus CHR 102.5 WIOG Saginaw. She later joined WGER when it transitioned to Rock/Alternative in 2022.
